The Loudon County Office of Planning & Community Development is a countywide planning agency serving Loudon County, Lenoir City, City of Loudon, City of Greenback, and City of Philadelphia.  Each governmental unit appoints members to the planning commissions, with the exception of Philadelphia (which is served by the City of Loudon) and Greenback (which is served by Loudon County).  The Office of Planning is administered by the Executive Planning Council, a seven member board appointed by three member governments.  Members of the Executive Planning Council are Charles Harrison, Chairman, Jim Pope, Vice Chairman, Eddie Simpson, Ham Carey, Bill Ghormley, Nancy Marcus.

   Three Regional Planning Commissions serve the entire County.  They are the Loudon County Regional Planning Commission, the Lenoir City Regional Planning Commission, and the City of Loudon Regional Planning Commission.
